Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct is intended to serve as a resource for members of the WriteHive Discord.

Please carefully read the Code of Conduct.
Mission: To provide free, inclusive events and resources for writers of all backgrounds and to foster a community to help them achieve their goals.
Vision: Everyone deserves a supportive and empowering literary community.
Respect: Treating every person and their ideas as worthwhile.
Accessibility: Making resources and services available to as many people as possible.
Inclusivity: Providing a welcoming, accepting space for all people.
Empowerment: Offering support and encouragement to every member.
Code of Conduct: The following behaviors will not be tolerated:
Engaging in bribery or favoritism
Any form of discrimination or harassment
Sexual harassment includes harassment on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, self-identified or perceived sex, gender expression, gender identity, and the status of being transgender. Sexual harassment includes unwelcome conduct which is either of a sexual nature or which is directed at an individual because of that individual's sex or gender.
Harassment of any sort includes epithets, slurs or negative stereotyping; threatening, intimidating or hostile acts; denigrating jokes; and written or graphic material that denigrates or shows hostility or aversion toward an individual or group.
Discrimination Policy: WriteHive will not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any individual on any sexual, racial, economic, religious, disability, or any other basis. WriteHive's priority in addressing harassment will be the victim's safety.
Any individual who engages in harassment, discrimination, or retaliation, whether verbal or nonverbal (for instance, with discriminatory memes), will be subject to banishment from WriteHive servers and events. Harassment is a one-strike offense.
